BOOKING:
Tips: Always book ahead in advance as much as you can to avoid disappointment. A simple face painting generally takes about 10-12 minutes per person, the more complex a design, the longer it may take. It generally takes about an hour to finish 6-8 faces. Make sure you pre-book enough time for your party to avoid disappointment.
Confirmation of booking is by making a non-refundable £20 booking fee to secure the date/time. This can be paid by credit/debit card or via Paypal, this way you have a payment protection under your bank. You can also pay in full in advance as most people prefer this way as having less to juggle on the day of the event.
Once your booking is confirmed, we will email you the booking confirmation and an invoice for the payment of balance.
Last Minute Booking:
It is possible to make a booking at least 48 hours in advance, however we cannot guarantee availability. For last minute booking, please make sure you provide as much information as possible to avoid any delay in confirmation of the booking.
Payment of Balance:
We accept credit/debit card via Stripe and via Paypal. We prefer this payment method because this way our clients are under customers protection from these payment services. We also accept cash or credit/debit card on the day of the event, but this needs to be communicated in advance.
Booking alterations and cancellations:
If you need to change your booking date/time you can do so by notifying us no later than 7 working days in advance (exclude weekends). If you notify us less that 7 working days, your initial booking fee
will not be returned to you in the event of a cancellation.
If you provide us with more than 14 days notice of any alteration
or cancellation, then we will try to accommodate any requests that you
have, but if you need to cancel then we will return your initial booking
fee to you.
Please note that we can not guarantee to be able to accommodate
alterations to the original booking. If an alteration results in an
increased cost we may require a higher booking fee to be paid. All the
details about any alteration will be confirmed by email.
In any event, if you require something different (e.g. more or
less faces to be painted, or different start / end times) to the
original booking, this must be agreed by us before the event commences.
In the very unlikely event that we cancel your booking (e.g. due
to ill health) we will provide as much notice as possible. We will also
try to provide an alternative face painter to fulfill the booking. If we
are unable to provide an alternative painter, or you choose not to
accept the alternative, we will refund all monies that you have paid to Lil' Cubs Face Painting.
CHARITY EVENTS:
Face painting is very popular and demanding for charity events. We are a patron to several charities but our time and resources is limited and it is impossible for us to do charity events for free. However, we love supporting as many charities possible, so we offer a special rate to charity and fund-raising events. Our first hour is £40 and any additional time is charged at £15 at an hourly rate.
This can usually be paid by sponsors, or alternatively you can charge event-goers at least £5-10 per head. This would cover the costs of hiring a face painter as well as raising extra money for the charity.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
For effective face painting, we would require a bright area either next to a window or have sufficient artificial lighting. The space we work in, has to be big enough for at least two person sitting down (the face painter and the person being painted) and a small table that will allow all the paints and paint brushes being laid out. If you have quite a large number of people at the party, please also consider a space for people to queue up in a safe manner.
Generally a working area of 100x100cm is good for us. If you are booking us for more than a 3 hours event, we would require a 10 minutes break in the middle. If it is a full-day event for longer than 6 hours, we require at least one meal be provided or being compensated and 20 minutes break time for a meal in between.
LARGE PARTY OR EVENT:
If you have a large party, you might want to consider to hire extra face painters to attend your event. Generally, a simple face painting takes about 8-12 minutes depending on complexity in the design, or about 6-8 people within an hour.
Lil' Cubs Face Painting has a second painter available upon request. The booking fees in this case will be double. E.g. First hour booking with two painters is £120, any extra time will be charged at £50 at an hourly rate.
HEALTH & SAFETY:
Lil' Cubs Face Painting will ensure a safe working environment is available upon arrival to the venue. The venue or the client who made the booking, is responsible to provide a safe environment for us to work at.
